If some one wants to share his mixes of wonderful hit songs online on his website can he just mix them on his PC and upload them online and start sharing them ?
Does it violate any copyright law ?
btw what is a good music format to do that without having big files which takes time to upload and download

This is a lot of legal precedence regarding music because of the situation with Napster. This being said, you need to contact a copyright lawyer to determine the legality of waht you want to do. Free advice is always cool but where jail time and large fines are concerned, you definitely want to pay a bonded professional.

Mp3's are the defacto standard for quality and file size.

If you want to create mixes and list the songs on your website, that's fine. However uploading the songs to your website without the consent of the owner is against copyright laws.

I made a graphical example - i took a logo and remixed it. Bottom line is, google would still get me.

You take someones music mix it around a bit, bottom line is it's still their music.

Class this as my opinion as i hold no legal qualifications.

As has been pointed out even though the songs are not as they were originally they are still copyrighted. If you wish to do something like that you have to make arrangements with the band to sign over permission to do so (and then the chances are you would need to pay a fee for every download).
