Hi,
I've been searching for domains with the extension .diamonds and I see that there are a lot of domains available. Do you guys think that this extension has any future? It is more expensive to register
Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I would settle for a zirconium or a lump of coal and wait.

There is no future for any of the new domains extensions. Except for a handful

I will put out a theory need to make low xxx,xxx to cover cost and make money so dot registrar keeps, black, red, carrot pink or what ever they get excited about and hopes rest will carry enough surnames etc to cover it. It still is a surname.

I see value in the likes of the below, paired with "diamonds":

Quality
Fancy (coloured)
Wholesale
Search
Lab (lab grown diamonds, popular due to significant price differences)
...and more

IMO

I watched something on Shark Tank or Dragons Den about a company making a custom diamond using some of the ashes of a cremated loved one or pet. Most likely all the searches is based on that.

Nope.

I had rather good diamond related .coms and never got an offer for them.

The niche is very weak. Tested this long.

Think about this - firms who sell diamonds? They have names like De Beers, Rockwell, Petra, Lucara, Alrosa etc.

Brands. Just like Nike.

These will use only .com, not such TLD's.

A sale is always possible in any TLD, but chances are definitely slim.
