Is selling domain anonymously to a connected company ethical?

Okay. Beginner here and I had an idea.
What if I know a company that have plans in buying domains and I have access to which domains they're going to buy, can I buy the domains anonymously and sell to them? Sounds unethical, but hey, this company kind'a does this too, to old people, I might add. Resells stuff to earn.

Some follow up questions:
- I can see that I can buy domains easily but can I put some generic names when registering like, "domain administrator", or "domain reseller "? And use generic emails as well so as to hide my identity to that buying company?
- Is it really possible to be a completely anonymous seller to a buying party?
- Plan is also to use bitcoin for transaction. so, is escrow.com or dan.com good for this? Will they be asking for my personal information to release to me my funds if ever I got a huge transaction?

Thanks in advance y'all.

Anywhere you accept money for the purchase of domains they will require and verify your real id details. Its called Know Your Customer. Even DAN and Epik who do accept bitcoin will make sure all is kosher.

To the other points, only you know your own ethics or what you really mean. If you need to hide yourself from the buyer you allready have your answer.

If you meant can the buyer see your details after the purchase at some places yes at some no.

Hmm, I guess it is okay for DAN or epik to know my personal details. Only main goal is for the buyer to not know that I'm the one who sold the domain to them.

Okay, I need to go to the place where the buyer cannot see my details, where is that? :D

Hi

i guess this business doesn't have enough common sense to figure it out sooner or later -

still, how much are you going to ask for the domain, should you follow thru with this scheme?

also, have you considered that:
if/when you contact them, that they could in turn, file a C&D claim, saying you have no right to own it.

then, you'll Have to respond or risk losing the name without submitting a defense.

if you do defend your right to own it, then that's when your identity will be known.

just saying....

imo....

I just weed out anon by ignoring if you give a bs name then who cares never going to play the game. Bit like a test drive no info then no point negotiating. Works both ways.

It's unethical and in some circumstances also illegal.

Reselling stuff to earn is usually completely fine and legit, what you want to do is more similar to stealing (in a figurative sense) than normal biz and the fact you want to mantain your anonymity tells a lot.

Apart from that, there are high chances that you will simply waste money and time. Real money comes If you do good to society and your customers.

There are so many profitable ethical biz, why following the bad route?

Okay. this is my first idea. When buying a domain that I will resell to a company later on, I will put a BS name or just like what I mentioned above, some kind of generic name like System Administrator, etc.
Will that be okay? I remember seeing like whois info should be true. Is this really a big deal?

Escrow, Dan, or whoever I use to sell the domain, will definitely know my personal info. That's fine. And understandable since money will be sent out.
So I guess the question now, will the domain registrar share this info to the buyer?
Will the buyer have the power to ask escrow or dan the info of the seller?

Okay, let's just say that I know this company buys a lot of domains and does not care much about the prices as long as they get the domain name that they need. 🤷‍♂️

And no copyright issue since they buy random domain names. No relation to the company name.

hmm I guess so. Well, I'm curious in executing this. You're correct.
But, let's say I just want to be an anonymous seller of a domain, can this really be achievable?
I mean like I want to sell porn domains, and I don't want anyone to know, since its embarrassing (kinda), is that possible?

Treat others in the same way you would appreciate to be treated yourself. My gut feeling is that this is something you would not appreciate happing to yourself since anonymity is so important. IMO.

How about you get a trusted friend to list the domain for sale on your behalf? That way, your identity is protected.

If the name were as valuable as you say, why is the company not registering it? Or is it a name you think they might need in the future and you are registering it ahead? There is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Did you miss that part where he said a “connected” company? Connected implies insider info via some channel which IS pretty unethical.

Connected might not mean being an employee.
