OK, I am personally ready to vote for Rick or Mike, but only in case they have some success with new gTLDs, or they are ready to try :) Otherwise I am not voting...

Better not vote for Rick.... we know how he feels about that, and I'm pretty sure he mentioned you in one of his posts, if not by name then by what you do. In fact I'm pretty certain he was referring to you.

Hmm, I was not reading that post, was it something positive? If yes, I can spend some time to read it, if not, I am not interested really :)

It did not have anything nice to say about gTLD's nor the guy teaching about it.

I really like Rick and he is probably right about gTLD's, a fortune will be lost by domainers buying up massive gTLD's but a few good names by a few lucky people will definitely bring a big payday. Not in Ricks league but something most np'rs would be happy with.

Remember he classifies himself as the .com domain king, I don't think he is vying for the title in anything else.

If it is not nice, I am not reading it :)

Btw, when it cames to new gTLDs, I really like to listen when good advice is given..but it must come from someone who actually owns them. Because when you own them (and must pay for them), you are learning very very quickly, believe me.. Those theoretical advices from people who does not own them means literally nothing for me.

Saying that, I do agree with the fact thay payday will be not be in the league of very early .com visionaries as he certainly was. But one can still be very lucky with new gTLDs, even when it is at level lower I guess. And we are still very early in the game.

In the crosshairs. Nice shootin', Tex.
What would they do with it? Who would they sell it to?

    I own nGTLD's.
For the most part they suck as an investment when compared to .com, .net, .io and .org.

My advice is that you don't continue to put all your eggs in one basket and don't insinuate that you're getting regular nGTLD sales because there are a lot of naive newcomers that might actually think new G's are a good investment.

Well Josh, if you are not getting sales, there is a possibility that your new gTLD names (the ones you paid for) are maybe not as good as you think they are. It does not mean they sucks as an investment in general. Without exacty knowing which one you own, it is impossible to tell...

None of you are Kings until one of you does some consolidating and takes a commanding market share lead. Does anyone of top dogs even have a 20% of the market?
Where do you start to define 20% ?
Domains in the aftermarket, aftermarket revenue, parking revenue or some other metric ??

If you want to be crown'ed the King, go back to the drawing board and use some objective market share data. Otherwise in the absence of all objectivity, the first one to proclaim himself the King, IS the KiNG !!!

Kingslayer hit the nail on the head earlier in this thread (although it was Tywin's quote, not Tyrion's). Here's the scene from Game of Thrones:

The real domain kings are not well known. They stay anonymous and protect their precious. Not saying they aren't good – just saying I know some that stay anonymous and make these guys look foolish.

i'd be damned if my concern is who the king is when i am yet to make a single sale, i'd rather learn from the two, and apply to get better at it.

Andrew Rosner is the absolute King,he came late to game and prospered with a hard work common sense strategy.Rick Swartz was early and lucky, and mike mann is the king of the holy mary.
