I think it's not related to gwhois or another whois website. It should be related to whois servers of registrars which they likely limit number of whois queries per second from each IP.
If you use a linux desktop you don't need whois websites. Install whois package (code: "apt install whois") and make whois queries (code: "whois example.com") directly from your desktop.

I think it was a temporary network glitch, somewhere in the path. Glad that it's working again.Nope. It looks like it's working again. I get frustrated when something I use daily. and rely on, starts not working. Which happens more than I would like with GWhois.org. (Breath sigh of relief). That report is from 1.5yrs ago. Has this been intermittent all this time?
