Google generates more than $30 billion a year in advertising revenue, including an estimated €1.5 billion, or $2 billion, in France. Yet, like other American Internet companies, it pays almost no taxes in France. That state of affairs upsets France’s policy makers, as public finances have been stretched thin and French Internet companies struggle to gain traction.

The new tax would require legislation, which the government said could be introduced by the end of the year.

Other Governments could follow suit soon.

$10,000 or worth more? - Take a look at the money that's poured into the Internet in France that could be charged as Internet Tax, and who is spending the money to save on tax. Even if you just ran a blog on this the money you could charge advertisers is astronomical.

Hate to burst your bubble, but there are not advertisers that will ever pay astronomical sums to be on some site about anything, much less about internet tax.

Find someone in France to buy the domain.

For as the way those frenchies have been about the internet, for someone not in France to own a .fr is just asking for big time trouble.
