Hi,

I have a .info domain name, GuitarTab.info.

Is there any point in listing a .info domain in a search engine?

I do not see many results in search engines with the .info extension.

What is your viewpoint on this .info ranking issue?

Thanks.

I will say it is all about content and development..
If You have the .com it is easier to sell .

If you have the time to build a relevant site with unique material It will get ranked. Regardless of extension.

Guitar Tab is a popular term; but you will need to develop it a little to get results. It could then be a really good saleable name.
At least GuitarTab does go with the .nfo extension
You see a lot of names that don't suit info at all.

Good luck with it.

Regards

Ralph.

Make a useful guitar tab site and it should appear in search engines (even without "listing" it these days). Never heard that .info has a "ranking issue"; just more developed sites exist under .com, .net, .org etc.

You don't see many .info sites in SERPs because few are developed - most are just speculative purchases of domainers.

In this instance, the competition is high. Unless you can make the best guitar tab site ever, and devote your life to promoting it, don't bother.
