For a particular cpanel webhosting account, index.php is present when checked using FTP and file manager, however it is not visible when a browser is used. What could be the reason?

I assume that what you mean by "not visible" is that the index.php webpage is not displayed when you
enter the domain name. When this happens to me its for one of two reasons. The index.php
web page has an error in it or your computers security software refuses to display the index.php
webpage for security reasons. You can test for the first reason by using a simple "Hello World"
index.php webpage. For the second reason, google the domain name or link to it from one of your established websites.

There is no error with the index page, for other webhosting companies it is working fine

Is it loading a different page? If so, either get rid of the other page or change your default index order.

If that's not it, check your permissions. Does everyone have read permission on the file?

  • The sidebar remains visible by scrolling at a speed relative to the page’s height.
