Check out escrow at Epik:

I believe we are still the only escrow agent that is actually a registrar. As I sometimes say, using an escrow agent that is not an accredited registrar is like holding physical assets at a bank that has no vault. This is what is referred to as "Counter Party risk". If your domain goes missing during the escrow transaction, responsibility and accountability is in no-man's land and that is a problem since many vendors have terms of service that limits their liability to the amount you paid them.

The other notable benefits of Epik:

- Complete privacy. We never post our domain sales.

- Ability to settle in major cryptocurrencies -- either as buyer or seller or both.

- The option to hold your proceeds tax-free for future use for other domain-related expenses.

It is an easy choice, frankly. Epik is the Swiss Bank of Domains.

May I ask, how soon do you release the funds to sellers?

Do you require the domain to be with epik? in case it's locked with a registrant

...and using a non-accredited escrow service would be like trusting that your crazy racist uncle understands the difference between hate speech and free speech. No mention of licensing on the Epik site, and per wa.gov, it also doesn't appear Epik is a licensed escrow agent in Washington. What state or states does Epik hold escrow license(s) in?
