They Just increased renewals from $34.99 to $39.99, while on the surface this seems to be bad for you, if you need to renew multiple domains you can now renew 2 at a time and use this code "gdbb72920 to get 20% off a purchase of $75 or more" (as posted in the promo code thread) Before the total was only $70 from 2 domains and you could not use this coupon, now the total is $80 and you get $16 off. The total is just under $64 to renew 2 domains, less than any other previous renewal offer to the public in recent memory.

Just an FYI.

This is great for anyone planning on renewing their names with GoDaddy but anyone that can renew elsewhere SHOULD. Even GoDaddy's discounted renewals for dot tv domain names are steep compared to the renewals charged by other registrars.

Beware of moving your TV's elsewhere... There is no one perfect in this area. You may save a few bucks... but customer service has to be worth something.

Not just an FYI but a smart reminder from you, thank you. I have a bunch of domains to be renewed soon...it will be less painful :)

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it have been better just to renew 3 names when the prices were $34.99 & get the 20% discount off a purchase of $75 or more rather than 2 names now for $39.99 with the 20% off? :)

Thanks. But I think renewals have been $39.99 for at least a year at Godaddy.

The 20 percent off coupon did not work on the $34.99 pricing already discounted pricing, even if you bought 3, the only one that worked was 10%.

Now you can spend $64 to renew at a decent price, as opposed to spending $100. I just call my rep for all my renewals as they seem to offer even better deals.

This was mostly for the folks who dont have a personal rep.

Also ; Microguy the renewals at least in my account have been $34.99 for the last year until a week ago.

How do you get a personal rep and how much do they charge?

I think you can apply via your control panel somewhere. They will give you discounts based on the size of your account.

I have slimmed my portfolio down sizably and I do not receive the "super deals" I used to get, but it is still cheaper than renewing yourself.

They do not charge anything., it is part of their customer service. Thei main job is to keep you happy and retain you as a customer.

That's strange. I thought the listed renewal prices were $39.99 and that discounts were only available via discount codes or account rep?

I was offered $25 renewals by my account rep, but if I renewed manually using the site I was charged $39.99 unless I used a discount code.

Not sure but for the last year it just always said $34.99 in my account, the $39.99 had a slash through it like it was discounted.

$25 is the best I have ever heard of there. I used to get $27.00 registrations and renewals when it was $39.99. Now my renewals are $30, but I dont have to renew in bulk.

How many do you have to renew to get the $25 price point? They were telling me like a 100 at a time LOL! Thats like $2500 no problem... LOL!

A few weeks ago, I contacted my rep and told her that $39.99 was ridiculous for .TV renewals and she offered $25. I asked her how many and she indicated a minimum of 50 for that discount. LOL.

I got the feeling that the 50 number was negotiable but never followed up.

Transfer them into enom.tv, everyone else is a reseller for enom.tv. It's $24.95 at enom.tv all the time.

(I am not affiliated with enom.tv but buy and transfer to them regularly)
