I use my PayPal debit card to buy domain names.

I just received a new paypal debit card in the mail. I get 1.5% cashback with every purchase, and I normally just use it to register domain names or pay eBay fees. Does anyone else here take advantage of the paypal debit card? I figure since a lot of us use paypal to register, we might as well sign up for the debit card and get a little cash back. Even if it's just a few cents, after a while it adds up and it's time for a "free" domain.

Well, I got a notice from them that they were sending me a new one. That was a few days ago. Yesterday I got the card in the mail. So I'm assuming they are pretty quick with these things.

They told me they will making available to other parts of the world in early 2007.
By means of "other parts" I think they are talking about Canada and Europe, not anywhere else

I got mine, I use mine.. I love that you can use it any place you can use mastercard.. Its made it so I can go buy a lot more things oh yeah and the cash back is nice

I know at the bottom of the page it says "ATM/Debit Card", can you apply with that link? All mine says is the card information and my address though.

U gota add a credit card to ur account all i got is a bank account.
i cant request the debit card...shrugs

I generally use my Discover card for most purchases. Still get 1% cash back on all purchases and 5% for gas, plus better customer service. See here for more info: shameful ;)

Upon researching, I've come upon:

# Eligibility. At this time, the PayPal MasterCard ATM/Debit Card (the "Debit Card" "ATM/Debit Card" or the "Card") is offered to U.S. and, in limited circumstances, select Non-U.S. PayPal users only. Users that are offered a debit card will need to complete the following application requirements, if they have not already done so:

1. Have been a PayPal member for at least 60 days
2. Have registered a credit card where the monthly statement is sent to a physical street address (not a P.O. Box). PayPal will only mail the Debit Card to this address; periodic statements and transaction information will be available on the PayPal website and not by mail.
3. Have linked a bank account to their PayPal account and verified control of the bank account
4. Have opened or upgraded to a Premier or Business account
5. Upon review by our Account Review department are deemed as being an active member in good standing within the PayPal community.

Maybe your account is a "select" account eligible for the debit card?

Yup. I've had mine for a while. The other day I misplaced my regular credit union debit card, and didn't realize it until I had charged a bunch of food stuff. Luckily, I had my Paypal debit card, and it saved the day!!

I know an ebay seller in Canada that has had the
Paypal/Mastercard debit thingee for the last 2 1/2 years
he originally just applied for the debit card, and they sent him
the one that has the Mastercard logo on it instead. So he can use it
like a creditcard as well.
