I am trying to find a site that lists domains sold.
Hi someone posted a link to a site that was easy to search past domain name sales.
I thought that i had bookmarked the site, but I cant find it.
Could someone help with the url?

Many thanks and happy New Year

There was one, but it is not operating now

There was a site that you could use to get a quick handle on domains that were sold with in certain fields using keywords, but it appears to be not operational now. The site was DNSALE.com.

There is a list of the domains sold at the most recent Traffic Conference Auction that you might find helpful. IS it OK to post the link here?

I would like to see ONE centralized and fully searchable database for ALL domain names sold (and that have all been verified sales as researched and audited (with going back in time) by an independent third-party, prestigious accounting firm)! :gl: :imho:

This is my hope for 2007!
Thanks for listening ... :)

:hi:

Unfortunately it would not be possible to list ALL domains sold
since many sales are never reported due to Confidentiality agreements.

Also many sales occur that just are not reported anywhere.

The best you could hope for is a listing of all Reported domain name sales.

:bingo:

That's still a few domains ... I'd settle for this, IMHO! :yell: :lala:

Great input, and thank you for your support.
Happy New Year!

I am just curious that why those domain names are sold as very high price ? why someone would spend more than 10 K to buy a domain name ?

It's working now...From their site: "DNSalePrice.com, the free and searchable source for comparable domain name sales. Our database contains $219,826,166 (USD) in recent domain sales and was last updated 1/2/2007"

Re. DnSalePrice. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Sorry for the spate of recent of trouble at DNSalePrice.com. We had an errant process that was invisibly consuming TCP/IP connections; should be completely resolved by tomorrow (or Friday at the latest). We have upgraded servers, moved to a fiber optic network, simplified update processes to run daily, and now have over $220M dollars in sales history. We also have a host of new software features that will be rolling out over the next couple weeks. And thanks again, it's great to see the work is appreciated.

Cheers,
BidNo

I would distinguish high prices sales and low prices sales.

Low prices sales:
I don't see how you could oblige people to verify sales by an accounting firm for small sales. If you had to go through this, it would make it quite difficult to exchange domains, no? Now, if you don't oblige people, why would someone do it?

High prices sales?
When the regular price of a property is difficult to establish and it appears normal to buy and sell anonymously through escrow, and not to know the owner of a propery through private registration, if I had some money laundering to do I would strongly consider this industry. Thus, here I do think that your expectation is very realistic.

Now, of course, adding small sales could equal a big sale, but I don't see how it could work in practice for non major sales.

(this was also discussed here http://www.namepros.com/dot-mobi/280069-bets-mobi-at-sedo-auction.htmlHowever, However, I did not want to mix it too much with bets.com)
