question Hyphens or alternate extension for long high paying keywords

Hi

I want to buy domain for selling purpose to make some bucks. Right now I am going after high paying keywords and here in this example I will use "mortgage refinance" related keywords. I tried many keywords and all are booked with .com extension. Like

refi mortgage loans
cashout refinance
refinance home loan
mortgage refinance
refinance mortgage
.....

Same happens with almost all other high paying niche keywords like hosting, lawyers, credit card, education, etc. So what's best alternate now to make some profit.

1. Go with other extensions like .net, .org, .biz, .online
2. Go with 2-3 hyphens and make domain name more longer (hyphen names give profit?)
3. Go with "best" or "offers" words at start or end of keyword and make name more longer
4. Any other solution
5. Forget this niche (I don't want)

Please advice me, what's best option to choose? If you were on my place which option you select?

I think getting few synonyms as options for your superlative words...like best / offers...
This is not exact solution for your needs but will give few more options to think about...

I visited that site and then got idea, then I did some work in Excel and found some good domain names as compare to my previous try.

@globalcashsite hey that's great you found some good names... At leasl you got some more ways search names ...

I can't say whether they are good or not... but you can decide because you have clear idea of the target customer base (loosely can be called niche)
and you know what is the purpose of those names so this will be enough to judge your decision...

I think they are little bit lengthy but if they can get traffic because of clear explanation in name... I think it's okay...

And don't post it in comments if you want to register them...

I agree that these are lengthy names. I can sell these even for $100. :D

In my opinion all domains have clear meaning and purpose.

Actually I registered domains before posting here.

I presume you have already done this, but if not you should search on NameBio for what has so far sold with respect to the keywords using the start with and ends with features for only a portion of the keywords. That will give you an idea how open that market is to non-com extensions such as .co, .io, .net, .org etc. I find that some niches seem more open than others.

Also,that may give you an idea re whether the name with hyphens sell in that niche. As you undoubtedly know, they are much more accepted in parts of Europe, especially Germany.

If you know specialists in the field, who are not into domain investing, it can be really valuable to do a focus group. Prepare them a bunch of possible names, some with other extensions, some with hyphens, some with cute spelling like Smartli for smartly etc, Have them either rank them or put them in order from best to worst. This is hard to organize but can be really powerful (and is how the big branding companies do it).

Best of luck @globalcashsite ! The situation you describe is common in domaining - the best com are not accessible, do I go with longer names, hyphen names or other extensions. Or move on to another niche.
