May be my topic not related to this thread, still asking, how to do cross verify the domain before buying like, Spam, Any who the 1st owner, may have done fraud, or illegal things.

Good question spam score is just one layer. Here’s a more complete checklist:

Spam & backlinks: Moz Spam Score, Ahrefs for backlink quality

Content history: Wayback Machine was it used for pharma, casino, adult content?

Ownership history: WHOIS history tools like DomainIQ or SecurityTrails

Security reputation: VirusTotal checks 90+ antivirus engines for past phishing, malware, or botnet activity. This one is almost always skipped but it’s critical. A domain can look clean everywhere else and still be flagged here.

Email blacklists: MXToolbox tells you if the domain is blacklisted by email providers

The VirusTotal check takes 30 seconds and can save you from inheriting a domain that destroys your email deliverability or triggers browser security warnings for your visitors.

A quick basic check: look at Wayback Machine for past use Ahrefs/Majestic for spam backlinks MXToolbox for blacklist status & VirusTotal to see if the domain was flagged for malware or phishing. This usually reveals most problems before buying.

Before buying, I usually look at a few things together: old site history, backlink quality, past DNS/MX records, archive snapshots, VirusTotal or URLScan results, Spamhaus or similar reputation signals, and any obvious trademark risk.
