I'm creating a webpage for credit cards. And my domain name is widget.com. How should I name my folders and html files to achieve maximum SEO effect?

1)How should I name my folders?
http://www.widgets.com/creditcards/ OR
http://www.widgets.com/credit-cards/

2)Assuming I go for option 1 above, then how should I name my files?
http://www.widgets.com/creditcards/creditcard.htm OR
http://www.widgets.com/creditcards/credit-card.htm OR
http://www.widgets.com/creditcards/index.htm

Thanks for feedback.

Since hyphen is regarded as a word separator by the search engines, it does not matter in your example :)
However, my advice is to use hyphen for three words or more, for example, cheap-PC-games.html

The hyphen is really only used for organizational purposes more than anything like the example given by AbsoluteKC. I think you're fine going either way and it's up to you as to which one you like better. I would definitely name the pages with keywords, though.

Well, let's consider you've got a page named panelite.html

What do you think SE will think of it: is this page about elite pans (pan-elite.html) or about lite panes (pane-lite.html)? :)

So, I suggest using hyphens even for two words - not for three or more only

maybe you would like to register a domain with credit or card on it. folders and file names will just support it.
