How can I know if a domain is worth to buy or not? What research should I do?

Usually a domain with high alexa rank which means how popular your sites accepted by people, and some others like the length of your domain.

well it depends on you. The type of domain you were looking for. Even you need to check out with the similar domains.

Generally speaking, stick with known established extensions ... popular / keyword / generic terms, and thoroughly research all aspects of the (any) investment prior to purchase, IMHO. :gl:
