Have you ever tried parking the parking companies?

Funny little story from last year. I accidentally parked sedoparking . com at parked.com

You know when you take an entire portfolio of names from a domain registrar and paste them into a domain name cleaner to get a clean list to submit to the parking company. Often you get a few extra domains in your cleaned list, from the dns settings in your registrar account.

Well I did that and missed sedoparking .com in the cleanup. So I submitted it to parked.com in a bulk list and really did not notice until it started receiving traffic.

It got two clicks worth a total of 5 cents during that year, and at least one visit pr day in a long period.





Its still in my parked.com account but it hasent gotten any traffic this year.

So there it is. It defies logic, but maybe one of you parking veterans can explain how it is that the domain could receive qualifying traffic and even clicks. I cant though

No.. As I mentioned this happened last year.. In the picture "last year" is toggled but the interval you mentioned is shown below but not selected..

Also I noticed this when it happened (the earnings)..

besides I am not asking why it is not getting traffic this year.. I am asking why it got traffic at all, let alone got accepted into parking.com..

Reading your response I am kinda unsure if you know this... But sedoparking .com is the sedo parking program homepage and the used NS address for any domains parked at sedo. It only went into my parked account by mistake and should NOT be receiving ANY traffic at ANY time.. Unless Sedo for some reason should point it towards parked.com..

Well I had plenty of real domains at parked that did not get any traffic.. So I dont know why this one should, and I havent experienced this "perceived traffic phenomenon" before..

Well Sedo is notorious for unreliable stats. But to my knowledge this is the only confirmed faulty stats issue at parked.com
