Have you ever pitched a domain + an idea to a big company?

Have you ever pitched a domain plus an idea to a big company? If so, have you received a response? For example, have you contacted a social media site presenting a domain name and a proposal on how the domain could be used?

I would lean towards going in with a blank slate. Looking at it from a companies point of view, they want to buy your domain and be done with you. If they also run with your ideas they are opening themselves up to you coming back down the road and asking for a piece of the pie for coming up with the idea in the first place. It may sound silly but it is something that all parties should consider and companies should protect themselves from with further paperwork if they buy a name/idea in this situation.
