Has anyone published an e book? Advice needed...

I've had the idea of publishing a self improvement oriented e book for awhile now, but never gave it much thought until recently. I've done coaching with people, I'm also the president of a weekly mastermind type group that discusses personal growth/success and we've done really with it.

Publishing an e book seems to be a extremely low risk way of branching out my coaching services.

If you've published an e book before, how did you do with it? What are some of the best web resources for e books? Any other tips or advice you could share, I'd appreciate it.

I am in the process of writing several ebooks myself

First I would say get yourself a good ebook compiler

The one I use is... www.procompiler.com
You can use the demo to make fully functioning ebooks

One way to market your ebook is to setup an email
mini course for free
This is a small overview of your materal
Your mini course is a sales tool to sell your ebook in the end

Send your ad to as many free ezines as you can

Set it up in an autoresponder... the purpose of this is to
get your email list built up for future mailings.
You can sell ad space to go with your mailings...
Hopefuly with your own products (make more profit that way)

Also www.clickbank.com is a good place to get
affiliates to sell your ebook for you
(there is an area on health)

With all the info you have gathered you might want
to start up your own ezine in addition to your ebook
Sell avertising and get more names on your email list

Well I hope this helps...
Too much info to put it all into this post

Have Fun John B-)

Good luck you guys! You could probably sell them for a lot of money if they are good.
