The World’s First Web Site

On August 6, 1991, without fanfare, British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee published the first-ever website while working at CERN, the huge particle physics lab in Switzerland.

My oldest site since new is 1998. I always considered the newgroups to be the web and www was a link from that. All in it infancy as we are all over the place with domain sales history anything can happen.
