I actually ran a service creating affiliate sites for a few years but burnt myself out. Now I'm back in the game I'm keen jump back on the horse and get busy! Sold a few of my own websites for good money - one $100k USD, on flippa, one private at $45kAU and a few under 20kUSD. Some of my past customers also went on to sell their sites for good money as well.

Im not saying its going to happen with these sites, but I bought a couple before out of curiosity on flipper for about $200, and not only were the sites very average (im sure magnizmos sites are not!), but there is nothing on there that contributes to any form of marketing. Unless you are good at marketing, its pointless. Its just a product, you have to sell it.

Thanks for your comment! I totally get where you’re coming from - there are a lot of turnkey sites on Flippa that are just thrown together without much thought. Some are decent, but many are built just to sell quickly and cheaply, with little focus on long-term success. A lot of people assume that just owning a website means it will automatically make money, but without the right foundation and strategy, that’s rarely the case. While marketing definitely plays a big role, proper research, niche selection, and smart keyword targeting can help a site gain traction even with minimal promotion.

That’s why the sites I build are custom-made with a strong focus on keyword research and trending opportunities, giving them a much better chance of ranking and generating traffic organically. 100%! But if you check Flippa and other marketplaces, sites with proven earnings usually come at a much higher price. A quick search for sold sites making just $100–$500 per month shows prices ranging from $3K to $15K.

Buying a pre-owned site can sometimes be more hassle than it’s worth—hidden issues, outdated strategies, or messy backlinks that need fixing. I’ve been there myself, and in many cases, starting fresh is actually easier. With a custom-built site, you have full control and know exactly what’s gone into it from day one.
