    Hi everyone.

I figured out I must post here to get advice from the veterans in the forum.

Long story short, I was navigating online and stumbled upon an Indian federation of apartments owners in a certain city. Their domain name is LLLLL.in and I have the same 5L but .com.

I really don't have any experience reaching to these kind of sectors and would appreciate help if possible.
Is this something I should invest time in? Are Indians interested in .com more than .in

    Thanks guys.

I forgot to add, but they issue an online magazine each month and they have more than 75K monthly readers.

Indian startup/companies most time try to build their brand around Indian cctld. I think there is very less chance they would be interested in your .com

Not all of them, the ones that really know what the are doing will definitely com for the .com extension
I have seen many India startup buy there .com along with there .in
One thing you should know is that India's like expansion,
And .com is always king too, so the will definitely have there .in and also come for there .com sooner or later
Time is the factor here but it will definitely happens

Just find the owner on LinkedIn and message him. Negotiate and win ;)

If you persist that the name can be represented in your country can you resell their product or services or work as an affiliate?

You can't simply put a generic statement like this kid. Grow up!

Indians don't even switch from .co.in to .in even if they are a big company. Not only Indians, 99 percent of companies won't buy domains they should buy even if the asking price is 1 percent of the fair price. Some people have special social skills and sell domains by outbounding. Once you get such a skill, I think you can make a million quickly. This is what I hate about domaining: Buyers don't do their part whatever you do to convince them, not even become slightly curious. Honesty, generousity, curiosity doesn't help. They need to be exposed to domain news on TV.

Or maybe nothing is wrong with endusers, and we domainers think .com is a special tld which must be owned by each web site owner.

    Totally baseless & FALSE!
Housing.co.in paid 7,00,00,000 INR to acquire its matching COM.
Moderators, please remove such slanderous remarks.

I'm exeggarating of course, but my experience says people don't upgrade to better domains even if price is cheap, unless the seller is very good in outbounding. Maybe I should renew some Indian domains now.
