Google tricked me into opening a Google+ page. Now I can't access my YouTube account?

I logged in to YouTube. It asked me if I wanted my name changed from picklesadventures to Pickles Adventures. I clicked yes. It congratulated me on opening a Google+ page for my business?!

I then couldn't manage my YouTube account any more! So I asked around, and was told to "disconnect my Google+ account in the YouTube account settings".

I did that.

Now I can't login to my YouTube account at all?! Help! What's going on?!

You can disconnect it by going to your settings.

Google is trying to force everyone into using their social network because they can monitor what people are doing on their services if they are logged in (and use that data for their own purposes.)

Yep, I went through a mess of options the other day on my personal account. I ended up somehow creating a new channel, and then realizing I still had my old channel and a new channel now. (I used to use a blank channel to get around the first real name changes.) And so now I have multiple channels, and whenever I sign out of gmail it doesn't let me sign in again without linking my accounts unless I clear cookies completely. I'm a few days away from saying screw it and just going to self-hosted email only. Almost every link I click on google now somehow takes me to google + with the other 1 billion non-users forced to have pages. :bah:
