London’s Heathrow airport is beta-grounds for Google Space, the new offline Google tool.

It’s not quite what you’d think of when you hear offline Google, rather, Google Space is just a series of booths for users to login and perform Google services: from checking their gMail, to searching the web for information on their destination.

A survey conducted of users of the airport, says about 70% of the frequent flyers would be interested in being able to check out their destination, as well as check their email, and other productive ways of spending their waiting time.

Google Space is said to be available at Heathrow airport until December 17th, when Google Inc. will announce further plans.

VERY cool B-)

I agree it does sound cool. I don't really get why it's called offline though?

I'm guessing its like an e-operating system type thing, so technically you cant access other websites or something? It's not too clear.
