Just came across an article on Bloomberg about Godaddy possibly going public.

If they go public, there will be pressure to increase profits. Which means spending less to provide the service, or charging more. Either way, customers would suffer.

Going public = printing money for the current owners / shareholders. Not sure how much more they can milk this one, but with a sucker born every minute, one never knows..
