Web hosting and domain name provider Go Daddy is celebrating the introduction of legislation to protect children on the Internet, the company announced yesterday. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a number of child protection bills including the PROTECT Our Children Act of 2007 and keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators Act of 2007.

Go Daddy has been actively involved in a number of activities designed to ensure the Internet is safe for children, prompting U.S. Representative Harry Mitchell to suggest, Go Daddy has been an important leader in our community and the international Internet community when it comes to keeping our children safe. They have made it a priority to ensure our children are protected and offenders are prosecuted. It is always encouraging to see businesses take a leadership role in an important cause like this.
