I lost 1 month to receive a bank wire from Godaddy, after they have already sent the payment. They use a third party payment processor, and when something goes wrong, they don't have a clue about what is happening.

This is not professional in any way.
Now I only receive funds by Paypal. There's no way to delay there.

And that's why I have asked @Quintin about changes for their payment processor...
If GoDaddy scheme is coming - then I will stop to use their UniMarket 100%.

Fastest are Sedo and Dan... They payout no later than next business day...
No problems at Epik as well. You can withdraw your Masterbucks at any time.

This acquisition shows that GoDaddy knows Uniregistry is good.
On a phone call with a GoDaddy rep several months ago, I mentioned that most of my domains are elsewhere and he asked where. I told him they’re mostly at Uniregistry and he asked why and I explained that it’s far easier to manage my domains there.

I welcome the proposed integration with Afternic DLS but I really hope GoDaddy doesn’t make too many changes to Uniregistry and their user interface because GoDaddy’s own website is a labyrinth of too many pages and a simple action that takes 5 seconds on Uniregistry takes 5 minutes on GoDaddy.

I’m also concerned about pricing because even though Uniregistry isn’t the cheapest, their renewals are half what GoDaddy charges. While GoDaddy may be able to charge end users that sort of price, domain investors are aware that they have many other options of registrar. This is one reason why I transferred all of my good domains away from GoDaddy and the ones I left there are expiring

Probably like many others, I registered my very first domain at GoDaddy and I no longer use them, but if GoDaddy handles this well and switches to Uniregistry pricing (which I doubt they'll do), I can see myself staying (for the management system that Uniregistry created). I currently have my high value domains on Uniregistry landers with brokerage and my standard domains listed on and pointed to DAN.

So GoDaddy, please, keep it simple, and keep it affordable.
Please don’t kill a good platform just to make it bad. User interface and price are very important.

Interestingly enough that rep has a lot of pull in the company. He said "Guys, I can't get Ryan to move his names here and I really want to help him. Can we just buy whatever companies he uses?" A couple months later - Boom.

Seriously though this acquisition was part of a bigger plan to help our Domain Investors become even more successful. Bulk management is important to us. We are going to be smart about how we integrate and seek to bring added value to our customers wherever they keep their domains. I think the purchase and recent comments from our CEO at Namescon show that we have a serious commitment to helping our domain investor customers be successful.

Uni started very well. However, due to staff changes and different business priorities, their platform is no more under active development, no bugfixes etc. This opens an interesting question. A new owner, in this case GoDaddy, may be able to try to assist and make Uni plaform better. Now, if such an initiative is successful, a number of GD customers may migrate from GoDaddy... to GD-owned Uni. Because, to be honest, GD own platform is a disaster (unfortunately). This opens the question - would GD prefer to develop Uni platform (and see some current customers moving), or would GD prefer to kill Uni platform (and see Uni customers moving to 3rd party registrars), or... ?

Frank Schilling don’t want peace of mind, unless he is ill. Look for a power play soon in the game he loves. He is 51. I’d love to be wrong.

Serious issue @joestyler. Make your CTA emails work. I get emails every day with verification links to click. Afternic listings. Email verifications. ATLEAST 50% of the time they don’t work on mobile. And the site is a mess. ”Could not load domains”. It’s like the bank would not be able to verify my assets. Do everyone a favor and incorporate the scalable tech you just purchased.

The only sure thing we know is that he sold Uniregistry and his 350k name portfolio. Maybe he'll use that FU money to do something else, time will tell. But he did sell.

Processing payments promptly is something that I'm very much aware of. So if it's not working, hopefully I can help fix it.

Your right Uni has been looking for ways to cut costs, and it has affected things. If anyone at Godaddy is listening I would try to get someone in there during the transition to stop accounts from leaving. You can check daily changes, and Uni is bleeding names to other registers right now, they are leaving for one reason or another, most likely uncertainty.

If Godaddy can embrace Uni’s app, and ease of Push Transfer, two big issues solved.

What more could he want, he had his own register, he had 350,000 domains, his own extensions, with unlimited domains, his own marketplace... seriously what’s there left to do in the domain space? Offices in Cayman Islands, and Newport Beach, it doesn’t get any better than that.

There were rumors of a divorce, and his partner was trying to get the books for his company. Given he has been married before he started domaining, it was probably a very complex situation, who knows.

Guy is always smiling, and looks pretty refreshed, so hopefully all is good with him, I think he did all he could do in this industry, and he will probably go dominate something else now.

I think they will increase the 6.88% commission that they charge on self negotiated domains on uniregistry market. I liked them for their market and if that happens, I will move the domains out of them and keep all of them at EPIK.

It’s 3%, and the 3.88% credit card fee you can assign to the buyer.

Otherwise if you do charge the fee to the house, your 6.88% fee is correct.
