Geo Domain Sales idea

I have a few geograpically associated domains, i.e., vHongKong.com, SF-CA.com, etc.
I have been trying to figure out how to find endusers for these domains. I of course have done the normal things, sedo listings, apprasials, bulk emails, etc.

I have even gone so far as contacting NPers that show that they are from these areas on their sigs to get inquiries.

All with no luck.
Last night I listed vHongKong.com in the Honk Kong classified of Craigslist.org.
I wake up this morning to find in inqury about vHK.

I checked my sedopro account (where I can see vistors geo stats) and see that 90% of my traffic is coming from Asia. This could also be due to the fact that I have been sending out bulk email to that area. It is nice to see, after many hours of effort, big red spots on the map...

I am thinking that Craigs List could be a useful resource. Just a thought, hope it is useful.

Any other thoughts on selling geo based domains would greatly be appreciated.

It's funny that you mentioned about using geographical information to market domains. I was reading over the pdf document, which Dan Warner wrote:

He had mentioned that domains should have a GeoIP reference assigned to them. Then, when marketing a name to a user, you can match their location with domains which have location specific connotations.

So for you personally:

You can identify the language specific connotations of your domains (including what location the traffic primarily comes from).

Then, spend more time going after end users located in that specific region (possibly by purchasing geo-targetted traffic or perhaps by craigslist.org)
