I was wondering if I could look at a high $xxx to low $xxxx for GeneralInsurance.us? Should I develop it? or stay as is?

Estibot says: $645 for the same
How much should I believe it when LeapFish says reg fee!

Also, do I go after .in/us or try and find .coms (which can become painful to find)

Auto appraisals are just that - auto.
You can never count on them to sell at that price,
neither do they guarantee the same

.in is relatively new, expect the market to hit correct valuations in a year or so. So right now it's a good buy, however, local sensibilities and parlance needs to be accounted for to get the right domains (there are tons available tho')

.com is a sure thing, say a generalinsurance.com would be easy worth 10k or more.

Hey Mwzd: how long do you think it will take that .us/in domains become hot in the domain marketplace? I have an offer for US$ 1000 for GeneralInsurance.us and not too sure if I will ever get something beyond this.
