Janine,

I use domainers edge drop lists to look up the names, and it links to pool for backordering - so you can try to get them with pool I guess. I don't know about the rest of the services.

Usually it is not that easy to get valuable dropping names, but you can try! :hearts:

If you don't want to spend amount of money backordering requires (usually somewhere between $20 and $60) then it's still possible to get one of these domains.

More often than not, a domain "taster" will acquire the domain. They hold it for the maximum amount of time they can before deleting the domain and getting a refund. They check the traffic and see if they can earn enough money from the domain over a year to make the initial investment worthwhile.

The maximum amount of time they can hold the domain and still get a refund is 5 days. So, if you want a domain that has been picked up, wait 4 or 5 days and then check to see if it's available again.

Most domains get "tasted" at least twice before they become available, so keep checking. Just remember NEVER visit the domain while it's being "tasted".

If the domain isn't dropped after 5 days then you'll have to wait until next year and check again. Chances are with most of the domains in this thread, they won't get dropped but it's always worth checking because domain tasters don't care about potential or what the name means, they're only interested in traffic.

Sure. Tasters will be ready to grab a domain immediately, as soon as it is deleted. It's possibly a backorder but it all depends who grabbed it first. Tasters are usually very quick and get a lot of domains.

Which domain were you interested in? I can probably tell you if it's been picked up by a taster or not.

Wait 4 or 5 days anyway and check the whois again. You might get lucky!
