There was a mention of how
Draw.io switched to Diagrams.net to show they were sensitive to the plight of the Chagossians.
Oh my, will companies ever stop wading into political matters and virtue signalling about things that have nothing to do with them and that they know very little about?
Guess what, not everything in the world that made it the way it is today was done for good reasons or done in a nice way. Your country is riding high on previous ills just like the rest of us.
I say they shut up and let us draw a diagram on the internet, eat ice cream or drink a cup of tea without guilting people into believing that everything is bad, they are bad and the past was bad so now the present is too and suggesting that we should give our money away.
Either that or stop investing in .COM/.net until the USA give the land back to those that were removed during Indian Removal
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Removal_Act (and the rest of the ills of the USA).
It's all just money grabbing - lawyers and other people on a wage for doing nothing or companies that want to get the optics right (they rarely do) or to "get a piece of the action" which means to use the opportunity to get a load of money for doing nothing.
And as I've said before, when it comes to the registry the UK Government have confirmed that they have never received any payments for .io registrations. Not only that the exiled Chagossians have the right to British Passports so don't feel too sorry for them.
