they're all resellers. personally, I don't like to register with resellers. especially not ones which are selling registrations at a loss.

Are any of the cheapest ones reputable?

I would suggest googling: RegisterFly to see what happens when you try and save a couple bucks. Definitely not worth it. Using coupons, godaddy.com regs can be had for $6.99 and offer peace of mind.

Reseller are not good as if we couldnt contact them during the expiration we will lose a precious domain name. Godaddy i would say is the best.

It depends on the reseller, some such as snowbird are excellent! Some are not.

I agree 100%. Maybe I am a bit narrow minded but i feel like resellers are going to tank and just at the same time when my names are regged with them. Id rather pay a few bucks extra and be able to sleep at night knowing my names are safe with Godaddy

I agree with Domainer50...What will you do with all your names when the reseller tanks?? Even though it is cheap to reg with resellers, it is more important to know that you have your names in the morning. :imho:

Great Post. Cheaper isn't better for sure. With a visit to dncoupons.com, you can get a deal on a domain name for a good discount with many of the top resellers.

I f you are customer of GD/WWD reseller, you are technically customer of GD/WWD. That means if something could happen to reseller, your account just will be moved to default reseller or parent company. It`s centralized system and nothing will change except label. I suppose other PCs are using similar system because tens of thousands of resellers are out there, a number of them finishes their business anyway quickly.

Spot on.
If you're a Super Reseller you choose which account domains move to (usually your own main one) if a reseller decides to give up. If you give up your own reseller account your resellers move up to GD and your domains move to GD- everything gets transferred up a level.

I'm sure eNom and DirectI/Reseller Club operate in a similar fashion.

I'd rather stick with the more reputable websites like GoDaddy and Namecheap. Cheap isn't ever good.
