Haven't had this happen yet, first time, and of course it is on a small time deal. Got a direct offer from my landing page on a domain, $150. and while the domain is not a big big one, it is worth more than $150., so to cut to the chase after asking him what he wants to do with the domain (he says, e commerce), I counter at $500. rather than going back and forth just give him a low price to get it done, guy accepts and wants to pay with BTC, which is fine with me. Just sold a mid four figure the day before, so I was feeling magnanimous, normally I wouldn't bother with a $500. sale I'd always try to get at least a thousand.
So I set up the special BTC wallet for him, which is a bit of a pain because I always access my wallet via proxy on a secure laptop, and send the link along, guy writes that he's going to pay when he gets home that night, which he says will be in a couple hours. I tell him fine, but if it gets too late that night I'll transfer the domain in the morning.
Next morning nothing, finally late in afternoon I send him a short email, Are we doing this today? After a while he writes back Heyy not sure if I should spend this much I'm new to e commerce. Anyway, I just write back politely and tell him that I've done all I can for him lowering the price and being willing to accept BTC when the 'coin is so high, and volatile these days, and I even throw along a for sale comparable someone else is selling on Afternic that is granted a little better but is for sale for about $4300. so that he may know that $500. for this domain is a good price.
During these few days BTC has dropped about $300. so if he had bought it for $500. with BTC he'd have effectively paid $480. or so.
I've given up on the deal, and will post here again if it happens, but so far it's an annoying waste of time and reminds me of

Offer/Acceptance and...flakage.
