The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think I have spoken my mind and there isnt much more that I can say on this matter without repeating myself.

We both have better things to do, I'm sure we can agree there, if you can move on so can I.

It just bugged me that a name I was after was posted in public, with the indication that it was a good Domain and had some potential value, this is how I earn my living and support my Family so it does and can effect me personally what I pay or sell a name for. I hope you do see my point of view a bit.

This is my last post on this subject, shows over NP'ers, now get to work...

Thanks,

Mike

Unfortunately, that's why everyone says business is not an easy job though you can earn alot from it. Even a down-to-earth business will encounter lots of competitions. If you can't live with this sort of competition, then I think it is advisable that you do not get into business as your livelihood at all.

Just IMHO.

I agree with Tippy

Although I am in the minority on this one, I believe posting available names for reg is fine, but posting a list of dropping names hurts the domainers are serious enough to find good dropping domains by themself. Furthermore, those who are posting dropping names and asking for NP$ are selfish - honestly, if people didnt donate NP$ then no one would spend the time posting these lists.

Sorry you are being attacked here Mike, you are completely correct

Some NP coward left me negative feedback, I'm not surprised... no comment nor mention of who they are, wimp...

Thanks GT, I think most old timers see the listing of dropping names to be a no no in this industry, its an unwritten code of ethics in the Drop/Domainer game.

Yes, Count me on your site too.
I totally agree that you should not lists of names soon to drop. They are free on many places now and a little bit of work to find out about all this does not harm, unless you are too lazy, but then you should not deal with domains.
If you open up a new business you won´t have helping hands to tell you what to do all the time either and sometimes it helps to be thrown in the cold deep water.

Mike, please stay, people like you are needed to keep the community going.

While I can appreciate both sides... I too agree with Tippy! B-)

There's a learning curve with all things so I don't think it's too much to ask the newbies (myself included) to do their due diligence... research, ask questions, follow up, read... yes, and even make mistakes! :gl:

People who can't cope with competitions are not worth being in the business field.

Those who said that people posting expired/expiring domains are ONLY for NP$, that is absolutely wrong because most of the posters do NOT get NP$.

Bad feedbacks do not mean anything if your conscience is clear.

If your domain is that good, it will be worth letting everyone know. If your domain is bad, even if anyone were to show it ten thousand times, no one will go snatch it with you.

So conclusion is that for those who cannot stand the competition in business, get out of it now and be realistic.

Flora.

I don't think it's fair to judge one's professional ability on one's personal opinion.

Partly, yes ... I believe all that needs to be said here has been at this point in time, IMHO. Thread now closed, please PM me directly with any questions.
