I did end up winning the Auction for LesbianSeeker.com but knew well in advance that it was dropping.

I'm still not ok with the posting of soon to drop Domains, some of us work our butts off going through lists/searching etc...

Tell me, if you were after a name would you mention that it was dropping to others and increase the probability that it would only cause more diff. in you aquiring the name?

We are here to help, not do the leg work for other people.

Mike

To Mike.

I'm unlike those who do not like sharing, I'm willing to share. Everyone deserve a chance to get the rightful domain unlike someone who likes to keep all the good things to themselves. And I do not appreciate your comments at all. If you do not want to donate NP$, I am not bothered at all. You don't deserve to be in a community where everyone is friendly and willing to share.

Flora.

What you're trying to say is that I LET you know the domain name, you went to snap it, won it and refused to donate NP$ because you DO NOT like the idea of sharing. I'm unlike those who do not like sharing, I'm willing to share. Everyone deserve a chance to get the rightful domain unlike someone who likes to keep all the good things to themselves. I agree Flora. We are here to help each other. Not everyone can afford to "reserve" a name. A lot of us look here for advise, help, and any clue to getting a good domain. Tippy, sorry you feel the way you do, but you are also entitled to your opinion.

I think Flora is doing a service for a lot of domainers. That is a lot of work!!!! She should be commended.

If people think it is wrong what Flora is doing, then it should be brought to the attention of the adminstrators, and have a vote.

I will vote for Flora.

Frank

It USED to be the case in the past that sharing dropping names could be detrimental to all the hard work someone puts in on the silent hoping that no one would notice. Those were the days when dropping names came in massive lists of junk and you had to painfully sort it out yourself.

Today, everything is absolutely transparent with advanced search features available at Pool, Snapnames, Enom etc and available for everyone to see and use for free.

The only advantage in the drop game now is a mega fat wallet able to consistently maintain proxies in the thousands. Or to go for names nobody wants because of 0-low Overtures and whatever else freakin speculators use to convince themselves to part with their money. Other than that, its all luck, Nameadmin or BD or VerticalAxis was on vacation or something.

Someone innocently posting their very own filtered selections/suggestions in an attempt to earn a couple of NP$ is much welcome and appreciated in a community like this. Both you and I know, when it comes to the really good names, the domain wolves will have smelt blood months ago.

I agree with you too Flora, Tippy, she posted a list, it's not her fault you decided to go through a list. Sure you don't have to donate but don't be an asshole about it. Flora simply posted a list that she gathered. She didn't do anything wrong.

Tippy.

I do not think your being reasonable in your request here. In the same manner that you dont think they should post these auctions.. (and you are entitled to your opinion).. i feel I have to share mine and say:

hush it. people are free to do as they please.

lets see.. trippy you need to chill out, dont be a prick.. i'm glad for the people who take their time like MissFlora did.. she even said just "I do that search manually." so show some respect and if it weren't for the people who post expired domains the beginners like my self wouldn't be able to get a good domain like the advanced people get. also, someone like me who is 17yrs old and doesn't have alot of money cant just go out and bid on a domain or spend money on domains i think will be worth alot, and what makes you think someone from NP was bidding on LesbianSeeker.com also? theres billions of people on the earth and i'm sure your not the only one who thought about the domain, of course not because LesbianSeeker.com wouldn't be registered..

so i'd like to give a BIG thanks to MissFlora and everyone else who posts up expired domain lists :)

hi,

Regarding this issue, I think that everybody should have a choice of what they want to do. If people want to make a list, then it should be fine for them to do. Plus, they are readily available online. You can even download it from clubdrop, so people shouldn't be so annoyed that people backordered the name they wanted. Also, without poeple demanding the names, there will not be any speculation for us all.

Just my point of view

It's hard to come out on Either side of this Debate ...... IMO ~ We all want this Great Forum to continue to grow and expand the market that is building here. These lists are part of the reason so many new folks come in here .... Looking for that next "Business.com" to be lying around for the picking. These list help Pros and Newbies alike . Sometimes they help you find one you're looking for - Sometimes they force you to Reg / Catch one you've been hiding on your own list or in the back of your head ....
Some may say all these regs on +/- mediocre to somewhat decent domains hurt the market by driving their End user prices down ..... Too many of the +/- Same Graded extensions available .... This is True ~ But , The folks involved directly in hosting and registrations will Argue this is what is keeping your reg fees down :) - Quantity over Quality ......

The way I look at it - Most of the "Good" ones are already on someone elses list as well "Great Minds Think Alike" - So It doesn't bother me to see good ones disappear off my list (My Fault for not reg'n it in the first place). - But from my Experience having posted Several List and having "Proved" to myself how many peeps helped themselves to without even a bit of Gratitude (Much less some NP$) ~ I hardly think It is worth causing bad feelings over .... I Try to only post the most basic one's now because maybe it's best to sell the list for Np$ as Many others are now doing ~
This will make people at least buy some Np$ or Be more active to earn these "Hard Earned" List ...............
