Expensive gTld's Never Developed

Does anyone else find it strange that so many domains which are sold each year for hundreds of thousands of dollars, yet they are never developed.

Out of the gTld's sold, only 3 of the top ten have ever been developed. ??

The only genuine sale from the above list that I know of is Autism.Rocks. Where the buyer and seller were both charity organizations for autism. Rest just seem too good to be true. For example, net.work did not just sell for $100k. They sold for $100k a year. So in 10 years time, they would have paid 1 million dollar in renewals. Do you know how many gtlds have sold for more than 1m? Just one -> Sex.xxx
