Hi fellow domainers,
On May 24th, I purchased a domain for a total of $5,500, as agreed with the seller. I also paid an additional $188 in escrow and wire processing fees.
Unfortunately, the seller was unaware of the complicated verification procedures required by Escrow.com for companies in Europe, leading to the transaction being canceled. Escrow.com requested that I add the same bank details ending with four specific digits to process the refund. I initially paid for the domain via my bank, which used Wise.com for the international transaction. However, I am not familiar with Wise.com's internal structure and bank details they used to pay to escrow.com on my behalf , escrow keep asking me to add the bank details wise used to pay to escrow.com. Infact escrow.com should simply refund the money to the account it was received from without asking me a single question.
Despite explaining my situation to Escrow.com multiple times, I keep receiving the same automated email asking me to add the account details for the refund. I have responded 10 times, yet the issue remains unresolved.
As a result, I have lost $188 in escrow fees, which Escrow.com refuses to refund. I did not receive the domain and am not getting my full amount refunded.
This has been the worst escrow experience ever. I will be avoiding this company in the future due to the mess it creates for both sellers and buyers.
Support is pretty much lazy and keep sending you same clueless emails, they want to give pain to buyers at every cost.
