Epik charges $90 for Domain Redemption, Any way to reduce the cost?

Did you talk to customer service? The early timing of redemption at Epik is truly annoying. When this topic was brought up before it was claimed you can ask for a longer grace period. The question remains why do we even have to ask? We get around a month at most other registrars.

Update: Rob personally approached me after seeing this thread. He waived the redemption fee and now I had to just pay for domain renewal only. Impressed by the gesture of Rob and Epik
