The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I believe that any end user will eventually want the .Crypto or .eth domain to go with their .com

There will be a lot of Domainers kicking themselves that they didn’t get involved sooner.

Wow,

games.eth just sold for 35 ETH! 3-6 character .ETH name auctions are closing every day now thru the beginning of November. If there's a short .ETH name you want to make sure you get, this is your chance:

I am making a tool to find nice expired or unregistered .ETH names, using dictionary word and name lists. DM me if you are interested in trying it out!

Had 6 offers this month for Stablecoins.eth

I’ve made it clear that unless the offer is made on the Blockchain then imo it’s not an offer.

Put your money where your mouth is.

Offers and proof of available funds which are verifiable on the Blockchain supporting the offer made (Via Opensea) will only be taken seriously.

Thanks

While I own a couple, it unfortunately looks like interest in .eth has waned.

CryptographicAssets.eth

Financially.eth

I'm getting more tonight. My app is messing around at registration time.

Some are going for as much as 15eth. It begins haha.

What the actual F???

I’ve just been given $25k for Holding ens domains. I thought the tokens would be worth pennies.

Crypto Coins Surge as SEC Spares Ether From Securities Rules

Ether investors got a reprieve Thursday when a top U.S. regulator said transactions involving the token aren’t subject to federal securities rules, ending months of speculation that had weighed on the second-most valuable digital currency.

Amazing news for my
Crypto-coins.ETH

Yep, this is amazing!

In a nutshell individuals and businesses will be able use their .com domains as their wallet address to accept most crypto.

If you have any crypto investments you’ll know why this makes life so much easier!

ENS Receives BinanceX Grant to Add Multi-Coin Support; D’Cent Wallet to Pilot

“We are pleased to announce the (ENS) has received a BinanceX grant to add multi-coin address support.

This means you will soon be able to use one ENS name to receive any arbitrary cryptocurrency — such as bitcoin, litecoin, and zcash — rather than only ether and Ethereum-based tokens.

This will work not only with ENS-native .ETH names, but with all DNS domains that are integrated into ENS. Right now, that’s .LUXE, and a few other closed TLDs. But later this year we plan on rolling this out for most TLDs, including all widely used ones like .COM, .ORG, .IO, and +1200 others.

ENS Launches Multi-Coin Support, 15 Wallets to Integrate

Note that while ENS itself supports all cryptocurrencies in its records on mainnet right now, this first version of multi-coin support in our Manager UI currently only supports addresses for ETH, BTC, LTC, and ETC (and not all encodings yet, so use it with caution). But we’ll be expanding the capability of our UI over the next few weeks, so check back soon.

According to one of their recent articles they will be expanding the ENS-solution to other TLDs - so there won't be any need for owning .crypto or .eth, people could just send the crypto to .com/.net etc

https://medium.com/the-ethereum-nam...izenship-in-the-global-namespace-7e66658fe2b1

"We have devised a system that uses DNSSEC to create cryptographic proofs to allow DNS domain name owners to claim their respective names for use on ENS.

For example, the Ethereum Foundation owns the DNS name “ethereum.org”; with our system they could also have an ENS record for “ethereum.org” (not ethereum.eth, which is a separate name). In this way, the Ethereum Foundation could use “ethereum.org” both for their normal website (using DNS) and for receiving cryptocurrency payments (using ENS).

This already works for .XYZ names, as well as in a special way for names on .LUXE, .KRED, and .ART. And soon we will be rolling out this functionality to all DNSSEC-enabled DNS TLDs, which is most DNS TLDs and includes all the major ones."

So you basically advertise your bank account/where your money is stored. Seems like a terrible idea.

Not really, it’s just a temporary means of transfer to a more private account. I think business transparency and accountability is a good thing. Unless businesses have something to hide.

In the U.K. Ltd companies have their accounts available on Compaines House for anyone to look at so it’s not that different.
