It's next to unbelievable that anything even remotely distant to this could have escaped my fingers a few weeks ago. eNom has consistently been the worst registrar i've had to deal with in the past. However, it's amazing how quickly one employee at a company can (partially) restore some good faith in a customer.
In my god given ignorance/idiocy, i actually didn't look at all when i registered a domain and immediate AFTER hitting submit came to the realization that i'm not just retarded but also out of $24.95.
I'm well aware of the fact, they surely don't leave this misunderstood either, that eNom has a NO REFUND policy. Unlike moniker, domain tasting is NOT an option at eNom. I figured it's worth a shot anyways, and sent an email to eNom, explaining the situation, attaching the transaction ID and then kicking back, hoping for the unthinkable to happen.
To my very surprise, obviously there is a "domain god", an eNom employee, for once actually truly helpful, deleted the domain and refunded the $24.95.
So, i have to bow and extend my public "thank-yous" to eNom, you have redeemed a little bit of your heavily damaged reputation with me.
Also, after all the ranting about them, i'm actually quite pleased to finally being able to say something positive about them. At the same time it indicates, fellow NPers, that if you make a true mistake, discover the mistake withing minutes and email them, ignoring all rules, it sometimes leads to a positive resolution.
eNom, congrats, finally a step in the right direction.
Mike
