Easy "report" function

Hello,

Looking to simplify the process of reporting broken links. Is there a way to create a button/link that emails me specific information (url of broken link) when the user clicks it without having to fill out a form?

Did I even make sense there?

Sure, you need a customized page for the standard 404 error.

Thanks for the reply.

However, it's not my broken links that I am worried about. It's outbound links that I would like my users to report. And not just if the link is broken, but if the link is going to an inappropriate website.

OK so you need a basic feedback form.

You could make the links go via a PHP script, so they would be something like:
http://mysite.com/out.php?url=http://link-to-go-to.com
And in that script you could have a function which checks if the requested page returns a 200/OK response, if so the user would be redirected, if not an email could be sent to you with more detailed info. This would make it easier for the user, as everything would be automatic, with no user intervention required. Although this wouldn't fill the requirement of an inappropriate website, but a contact form, or just a "Report" button, like Kate suggested would sort that out.
