Just tried it. Can't reach the site.

It would appear to be still down as I just checked the site as well.

Domain forwarding doesn't work. I have about 100 domains with them and 42 of them are forwarded to their sedo sales page and none work. I hope they will fix it soon.

The same happened a while ago. I'm wondering why it happens. Maybe it is related to their hosting service which attracts all kind of scammers and spammers. I contacted them a few months ago and suggested they should offer higher quality hosting to keep their user profile high.

This has happened quite a few times. Totally unacceptable for a large registrar like this.

Was down for about an hour for me but seems to be working again now. I've been gradually moving domains away from Dynadot over the last few months.

I agree... specially that they've tweeted that they've been DDOS attacked! many medium size companies have DDOS protection all over the place, this is the least they should do, and they should stop selling $1 hosting packages.

They have a hosting account at $11.99 which attracts scammers and spammers. Then when there are complaints they close down these account and those scammers probably feel pretty pissed and try to hit back. However it is Dynadot who invites them in first place.

They should stop selling those very cheap hosting accounts. Also they have an unmonitored sales forum which is full with scam. They should close the sales section of their forum.

Actually they are not that large, they have around 0.3% market share I think :) But they have been growing fast.

I keep getting timeout errors about every 5 minutes. It's very annoying.

dynadot just posted 7 minutes ago that they've been under DDOS attack since yesterday.

I've merged both the Uptime/Downtime threads for Dynadot and
moved it to the Domain Registrar Reviews.

It's always good info to have when deciding who to use.

Is dynadot down for anyone else now? I keep getting this in Firefox... "Looking up Dynadot.com", "Connecting to Dynadot.com", "Connected to Dynadot.com", then after several cycles of this "Done"

It's really annoying how often I get connection problems to Dynadot. It seems like the https: isn't working. I can reach http://dynadot.com but when I try to login, it switches to https, which fails with the above messages.

I registered 2 names about 15 minutes ago without any issues.

OK. Restarting Firefox didn't work. Restarting the computer didn't work (at first), but eventually, the https: started working after a minute or two. So I don't think this was a Dynadot problem, this time. I don't think that the reboot solved the problem either. So does anyone else have an explanation why https: wouldn't resolve?

been working fine here, not sure why you'd have a problem with https.

I think it might have been an ISP related problem.
