its official dyna and bodis are desperate for cash and they dont give shit to inconvenience or respect domainers to get it

recently I noticed my freshly expired names change bodis account. so I'm thinking some moron made time machine and thinks he got my names from some future expired auction.. and bodis didnt do their proper check...except those are names I was gonna renew. and it kept occurring.

long story short I emailed bodis and they said they are now big let's make money buddies with dyna and expired names switch to dyna account on bodis aftr expiry... never u focking mind about the 50 gazillion domainers who renew names after expiry. we just want that extra 50 bucks.

anyway fock this shit.

Wait, trying to understand, after names expire they are going to a bodis account, and even if you renew them they are staying there? Or are your landers going upon expiry to bodis landers, where they list the domain for sale, even though it's still within arms reach of renewal?

I also didn't get it. You mean they don't allow you this 30 days span after your names expired to renew them?

when your names expire on dyna they change dns which is not new and is dyna right to do... but now they also move into dyna account on bodis... when 50 billion people reenew their names after they have to email bodis to move account again. which I find a greedy disrespect of people time.

but I guess u dont care for respect when u are greedy.

How many days after your domain names expired are they sending them to bodis?

well look they change dns on day1 like many registrars. so bodis does it within a day from then or so..

I just caught email about account change by chance as I totally wasnt aware of it. obviously someone who disrespects clients time like dyna and bodis wont really care to inform by email that this thing has even been implemented apparently it's fairly new.

I just signed in to Dynadot chat and asked them the question of how many days do it take before they send a domain name to bodis and they sent me a "automated reply". Usually someone will chat with you directly. Dynadot need to come explain this matter in further detail.

Even I may wait a day or longer to renew my domain names just because I like to renew my domain names in bulk. So if this is there policy going forward then we all need to have better clarity.

only if u dont use bodis and dyna together like u dont... for the other 50 billion people this is disrespect greed lack of transparency disappointment slap in face insult and waste of time

When domain names expire, registrars typically give a 30-day grace period to renew or transfer the domain names.

During that period, the nameservers are changed to something like Ns1.regexpired.com and Ns2.regexpired.com.

And these nameservers would typically resolve to a landing page encouraging the domain owner to renew the domain name. Or promote other offers by the registrar like auctions.

But it sounds like some hotshot executive at Dynadot came up with the brilliant idea to make money within the 30-day grace period by changing the default expired domain nameservers to ns1 and ns2.bodis.com.

Instead of a Dynadot landing page saying the domain name has expired, Dynadot points expired domain names to Bodis to make money from parking domain names.

In other words, Dynadot now parks domain names that can still be renewed or transferred by the registrant.

It's a shitty thing to do!

Especially when you consider the possibility that some parked domain names could be used to promote products/services that would provide ammunition for a UDRP case.

Dynadot already makes money from expired domain name auctions and closeouts.

Trying to make money by parking a domain name that is still technically under the control of a registrant is pure greed.

Kooky stuff!

yes. shiitty.
that's why I lovingly called them desperate for cash and used word greed.

honestly I dont care if they make 0 cents parking my expired names cause I never renew my confirmed revenue names after expiry.. that's 50 bucks per month total revenue names not 5k..lol.... so go ahead enjoy your 0 cents greedy exec's.. it's on me..

what I do give a fock about is when u remove it from my bodis..I renew it change dns back to bodis but bodis somehow doesnt readd automatically and I have to email every time. then your greed is costing my time. and I'm the only person on earth who decides how and when I will waste my time.

ps reminds me of another greedy exec's story..... I spent some years on 1and1 cause of 1 buck info transfer renew and most important 7us .co renew transfer... i remember they started putting expired names on day minus one on a sedo bin page lander lol

what a shitshwo

every time I see that stuff it just reminds me how badly u must be doing for cash and profit when u go that
low... whether 1and1 or dyna

Why do you care so much anyway? Just relist it on Afternic if it's in review. Very few sales come from the landers anyway..

it's not rocks mate its facts
HI

facts are that you let the names expire.
and fact is, dynadot has right to set ns to whatever they choose, once the name expires.

and i highly doubt that dyna has 50 billion domains.

if you don't want them to monetize your expired names, then don't let them expire
or use another registrar.

imo...

It's a shitty thing to do!
Hi

actually, registrars used to put ppc pages on expired names years ago.
so it ain't nothing new.

imo...

Hi

technically, you don't have control, because you can't change ns
you can only renew/restore within the allotted time frame

godiddy has auctions for expired names every day and dropcatchers allow you to bid/backorder on expiring names too.

what do you expect them to do with the name when the registrant doesn't renew before/on expiry date?
the 30-45 day grace period, is just that...a grace period.

be glad you get that extra time to renew or restore, but don't fault the registrar for trying to monetize them.

imo

This is why i like:

Sav & WHC.ca doesn't do it right away after expiry.

NameCheap / GoDaddy / Dynadot change nameservers to parked page after expiry. Trying to make pennies.

They need to give you 30 days grace before arbitrarily stealing them and taking them off your Bodis account.

The world is so incredibly greedy these days and everyone is looking for a new angle to scam in to make a few more pennies, and always at a cost to their actual customers.
