Be careful if using PayPal, they'll take the full amount and refund it back to you afterwards. Apparently.

they did this like a month ago as well.. They take the full amount and it can take upto 30 days to get the refund for the rest... kind of a scam in my opinion, even though its really not. I just dont like having my money in limbo...

Sadly, I think it's a one-time thing. I tried to use the code with like, 9 domains but it only gave me a discount on one of them.

That happens with Paypal, they say... I used a credit card and I was billed only $2.99 for the lone domain I regged.

I wonder how they make profit by this offer.
I mean what is the point of taking money and refunding it?

If they can manage to hold your $ for 30 days they make interest off it.

I regged a name during their last promo and was surprised to see that they billed me the full price, I called then and told them off... obviously it did no good but I did feel better afterwards as I know the saw where I was coming from and that charging full price only to credit it afterwards was BS.

As far as I'm concerned Dotster is among the ranks of 1&1

Didn't take your advice nor my own previous ones regarding their scammy methods. Now I am sorry. I think it is more than "kind of" a scam. If you click a bill saying you are charged $2.99 and you get that charge plus another one for 14.95 as well in my mind that is a scam.I'll just stick to Namepros registrations in the future.

In my case they emptied my nearly empty paypal account and my lacking funds to cover this unexpected transaction causes paypal to authorise the balance to be drawn from my credit card. My own fault I know.

Some coupon!

Well it seems that Dotster does not like my Mastercard

Maybe mastercard doesn't like Dotster
