for anyone who is having trouble with Dotster. specifically that you were in the process of registering domains on their platform. but took so long to complete a transaction so much so that you end up missing the $1.99 special?

or you simply missed the sale for some reason by hours.

also why the hell is it that if you CHOOSE the $1.99 special for ONE YEAR then when you click checkout the list shows ALL the domains at $19.98? which is the $1.99 plus 1 year at full price??

of course since it ENDS up like THAT automatically. You have to manually click 1 year back to what you ORIGINALLY WANTED which was 1 year for $1.99 and each time you do so? takes about 3-5 minutes if you are lucky in the dreaded "buffer" of death.

and when you want to do the "easy way" and submit to their LIVE CHAT. you end up NOT GETTING TO USE the DEC2016 coupon!

so my suggestion? submit your list to Live Chat so they create a ticket. that way worst case scenario you get the $1.99 special. and THEN proceed to "TRY" to submit via their platform so you can maybe get the coupon.

it takes their "specialist" 24-48 hours anyway to complete your ticket order. meantime you can try your luck and use their site to reg.

after you are done talking with support and they created the ticket for you. before you close Live Chat. copy thee entire chat and paste to word. Save. Then paste the entire convo in the ticket via update.

I don't know WHY WHY WHY they won't provide a transcript of your Live Chat with them in the ticket. is that too much to ask?

see this way without the transcript they can maybe cherry pick your domain list and say oh this domain was not in your list. A List that supposedly only THEY can SEE on their END? what kind of BS is that?

crazy. do yourself a favor and copy and paste the Chat to the Ticket.

I love Dotster sale prices but hate Dotster. Last sale I had names that wouldn't get registered so the chat support says they'll do it manually later. By the time they got back to me I already got the names lol. They were like "Well it looks like you have the names registered so our work here is done."

see that crap? I tried to manually reg second time around since my original list was deleted AGAIN via my mobile. THANK GOD I had the hindsight to contact live chat and submit my list right before the special expired. I submitted my list and then tried to reg anyway using their stupid platform. because I wanted that coupon for 20%.

I was 3/4 done switching from $19.98 2 year reg to $1.99 1 year reg for all my domains when all sudden when the page refreshed the prices were all back to $9.99.

yea same here. all they can do and say is they will "mention" it to their "specialist" who is this "Specialist" Sylvester Stallone? lol anyways. now I have a 24 hour to 48 hour wait. I BET YOU they will say that I was "too late" in submitting my domains. like they did last time.
