That was a pretty sh*tty buy

well..its generally not the worst of methods to go with to reg a name taken in say 100 other extensions..its not a gurantee of anything of course.. theres no guarantees in domaining..but i do not see it as irrelevant factor..

but yes... like i said im no fan of shit domains... but i hope to prove u wrong and report some 3fig sale ..hhehhe

otherwise i just wont be regging shit domains at all in future ahhaha

I've worked in a lot of big companies and you would be surprised at the average IQ of the executive class. Most get by on connections, family name and (sometimes) looks

I was just randomly cruising the threads and saw this post...truer words have not been spoken about those in the ivory towers!

I've not worked as an employee for big companies but have worked with them many times and you are spot on. Of course there are some very talented geniuses out there but they are often the exception in my experience.

One story in particular I have...I was working with a very senior vp of a financial institution on a marketing issue and noticed a couple of recently (and not so recently) eaten apples on his desk and floor. When I left his cavernous office I asked his assistant (there were only 5 offices on the entire floor of this skyscraper) if he was ok. She laughed and said most of her job is making sure his shirt is tucked in, there is no food on his face or objects hanging in and around his nose. I truly wish sharing the company with you is possible, but I still interact with them from time to time...they are a major global presence and he is still employed there (despite his dubious personal hygiene habits).

btw...forgot to mention he has an internationally known celebrity as a first cousin and another close relative is one of the earlier mentioned true geniuses that is president of another globally relevant company. It is clearly a 'who you know and/or who you are related to' position he is in.

In addition to the classic and hilarious Marty Scorsese cameo, there is a great scene where Brooks gets a "meeting with Spielberg" and instead hustled into an office with a "Stan Spielberg", Steven's cousin ("this is my first real employment"), and this scene is extremely close to my experiences.
