BTW, I forgot to put a bid in early enough, and I was wondering if anyone knew what SOMEDAY.ca went for on Siber.

TIA.

P.S. There were another 3 bulls-eyes on last week's TBR:

activities.ca - FastWebServer 19:00:00.000
campers.ca - Sibername -19:00:00.000
milkshake.ca - MyID -19:00:00.000

Hmmmm, campers + activities + milkshakes... sounds like fun.

P.P.S. I also looked at the individual TBR results, and in an amazing run, Sibername took everything from 14 to 32, and this included a few nice domains:

wineislands.ca
vangoghsear.ca
networker.ca
quoting.ca
snowmobilers.ca
coachline.ca
luger.ca
kohls.ca
freeborn.ca
drugdelivery.ca
juror.ca
damaged.ca
keisha.ca
lame.ca
bellerive.ca
beanbar.ca
bopeep.ca
capitaladvisors.ca
breastreconstruction.ca

Damn, it looks like the $3.99 deal melted down Rebel, but I actually need to get in there for a transfer code.. :xf.cool::xf.frown:

Anyone else having difficulty navigating around?

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like it just popped back up... at least until rln makes another mass-order.

A typical conversation between the ex-GF and I when she was mad at me! I’m sure we all can relate!

Your ex-GF was a non-resident who invested in .CAs?

:-P

She was a mail order bride from Russia! So I had to tell her that she cannot use my address to register.ca’s so I sent her back home again!

How would that ever pass the radio test? " Come visit us at dotseaeh.ca. that's d...o..t.."

You'd need to buy 2 ad spots just to have the time to spell it out

There really needs to be a "haha" or "LOL" button on here.

Question: Is the base TBR bid at MyID $50 or $60?

I know it used to be $50, and it still states $50 in most places, but it also has $60 as the min bid on at least one other page.

I don't use them, so I don't have first-hand experience bidding lately, but this question is for someone else and I don't want to go laying down bids just to find it out. Might get expensive. :xf.grin:

How many other people got a bunch of $1000 offers on their .ca’s at GD yesterday?

Nope, but I do have 3 deadbeats who accepted counters over the past week or so, and are now sitting in "Pending Buyer Purchase" status on GD, the latest of which happened just last night.

It's getting idiotic on there and GD definitely has a troll problem.

When a business accepts a high-dollar offer for a 3rd-party listing, their system should automatically take the (cough) buyer to a checkout screen. If they don't checkout and pay, they may do so later, but the domain listing remains active.

In this scam, the "supposedly sold" domain goes off the GD network for 30 days while they hope the buyer actually comes through. It's an easy way for a low-IQ troll to try and "punish" the seller for a price higher than they're willing to pay. Just buy, buy, buy, and never pay.

Even places like eBay figured that scam out long ago, as everyone and their dog would hit the BIN and then never pay. Now if you have to immediately pay or the listing stays active.

I would say yes. But the names that had the offers are worth more than $1000 so someone looking for a good deal or perhaps starting negotiations. I responded to just 1.

Ah. Spamming offers is rarely the best negotiation technique.

Not looking like a hot TBR week, as the two highest prices at NamesPro were only $100 and $75.

Anyone else have trouble logging into Dot-ca / Burmac / RapidRegister from 2:30 to 2:45?

It was like they got hacked or their login system crashed, as I kept getting "You are not Logged in" when trying to log in.
