I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you do have to sell something cheap, at least please insist on a non-disclosure so I don't have to read about it on namebio or dnjournal!!

I also wish they had reached out to you first.... The worst part about this sale is that it's public! :(

The owner must have gotten the 650 offer and sent it to auction instead of negotiating (can't see it getting reported otherwise). With all that said, i imagine some people are hard up for cash due to the pandemic and might be willing to sell for cheaper than usual.

Wow, that is cheap. Do any CA registrars take part in a fast-transfer kind of system with Sedo?

Wondering if this was a case of an old listing with an old price that someone took advantage of?

Actually, I'm hoping that's the case and that the seller didn't knowingly sell for below value

Amazing, only 6341 domains on this week's TBR list.

I also just noticed that last week, there was an unprecedented THREE bulls-eyes on the TRB report:

medicalcare.ca - MyID - 19:00:00.000
thecheapseats.ca - MyID - 19:00:00.000
mundo.ca - Sibername - 19:00:00.000

Man, I am looking pretty smart about now.

Doubtful as there is no home court and no advantage at all for being the better team during the regular season. It's truly the Twilight Zone NBA Playoffs and anyone from 1 to 8 can win.

We'll probably see the Heat or Celtics vs the Rockets or Nuggets this year, as the "bubble" gives them all an equal shot.

All the way through I've been rooting for the Nuggets to win, even when they were seemingly dead against the Jazz. Denver always seem to finish 2nd in the West and then get dispatched early in the playoffs, so I'm hoping this is their year.

Also, in the "Team I'd Hate to Face without Home Court Advantage" category, I definitely had the Heat circled and so far they've come through. Without home court deciding the majority of NBA brackets, some teams like this are just ultra-dangerous.

Time to start that sports handicapping service. Kawhi should have stayed in TO!

I think the basketball world is pissed! I think everyone wanted to see Kawhi against Cry Baby James!

pretty quiet here for a Wednesday morning... everyone out looking to buy a camper?

More like buying a MIG to shoot up some CAMPERS.

Lots of $$$ out there on the top-end stuff and a few other surprises that got bid high. I expect to get almost nothing this week, other than getting jacked on a few auctions.

Someone is really quick on the very last second bids at Namespro. I was the top bids for both mig and campers but got snipped! Not like they will get it anyway. They have been very quiet lately with the better domains. I don’t even recall the last time they even grabbed anything great. Maybe 77?

NamesPro grabbed a few #1 picks earlier in the year, but lately it's been much tougher.

It has been that way for a looong time. Either someone internally, or a domainer with some coding skills, likely wrote a script to submit slightly higher bids right at their bid closing time. Furthermore, they have their server clock set like 7 seconds fast (probably purposely) so that if you're looking at your clock trying to time it for the last second, you always miss it. It is always that way, every single week. I'm sure many people don't use that platform specifically for this reason - as its pointless. Compound the fact that they haven't really caught shit in 6 months. The last decent name I've seen them catch was Rivalry.ca back in March. So, yeah, it is pretty pointless...

The problem with NamesPro is that they go for months and months with nothing, so you start thinking they're useless and forget about them as a TBR option... then suddenly they take some premium domain #1 out of the blue.

Yeah but you get sniped by a bot anyways...

BTW, I just saw a commercial for chicken.ca. Show some love for the nice use of a generic product domain and visit the website. Plus there’s a contest to win $5000. And maybe the bacon people will take notice:)

Uh oh, I have a feeling that Siber prices are going to increase significantly in terms of extras.

Looks like I might have been right with that blurb, as it appears Siber will no longer manage domains and that will go straight to WHC.ca, where it's certainly no party to administer domains. :xf.cool::xf.frown:

While the two brands will be operating independently in the short term, its teams and service offerings will be gradually integrated

With this acquisition, WHC will not only significantly increase its clients, staff and domains under management...

To me, knowing what WHC is likely to do in a merger (keep the "award-winning" TBR software, fire most of Siber's staff, drop a pile of their expensive TBR server links, and then put it all under the WHC umbrella) this just made MyID literally the only show in town for premium .CA domains.

Well that explains why Sibername has ignored my requests to add basic domain management features over the past 6 months.

And I agree that WHC sucks horribly for domain management. Their bulk management tools used to be absolute shit.

This sounds horrible.

Ugh! Too bad.
WHC domain management is awful. I get $00.00 invoices all the time from having 2 domains with them which I moved asap because it is such a convoluted system
Time to move my domains out of Siber

Not to mention that you need to pay extra fees to perform rudimentary tasks like Domain Forwarding.

On a side note, the author Sally Prosser likes sipping scotch and watching Netflix.

And taking over top TBR providers.
