I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Are you sure? My translations say that NamesPro got it, or maybe FWS was buying time with their servers?
.

OH shit. Yes, you are right. Namespro was the winning registrar. And it was my bid on Namespro that got sniped right before it closed bidding. I don't know why I was thinking it was fastwebserver the whole time I was writing that message. So it's namespro that has their server time off by like 10 seconds, not fastwebserver.

Why would they accept it?

Every Liberal knows that if you need more money, you just print it. Done.

I thought maybe you bid in both places.

Thank God we're back to normal on the LLLLs this week - only 65 so far, compared to the 1K+ each of the last 2 weeks.

I will be adding a priide.ca section to my priide.com site in the next few weeks.

My kids encouraged me to actually make use of the domain and get it up and running, so I figured since I was doing it I have to make a .ca section as well.

It's a system I have

I put all my domains on auction with a minimum bid of $20
Then I see how many people bid on each domain.

When renewal times come I can see in an instant which domain had bids and which one did not.
A no action domain will be considered for a drop while even one minimum bid of $20 will keep my domain active and I will renew.

It's a quick and easy way to use godaddy to gauge interest.
I have had a number of high bids on this one and it is set to auto renew for auction automatically.

Are you .CA's registered at GoDaddy? If not, can .CA's registered elsewhere be put up for auction at GoDaddy?

Doesn't that only work for the federal government? :xf.grin: I don't think BC is allowed to print money unless you count on taxes as a form of printing money!

The To Be Released (TBR) Weekly .CA Picks for November 6 are online:

The .CA TBR numbers did fall back a bit this week, but the quality level dropped off the table. There are few, if any, truly premium domains on tap and we found it very difficult to create a Top Picks list from this morass of lower-end names. It’s certainly not a high-end selection, but our Top Picks List includes...

The TBR Picks starring Slim Pickens

Anyone can list .ca at godaddy

You just need to be Canadian or have a Canadian presence to register a .ca domain.
You have to agree with that before you can register one at godaddy (and everywhere else).

Thanks @MapleDots.

What I meant was, if my .CA is registered at Namespro (for example)...can I list it for auction at GoDaddy?

I'm pretty sure you can... After you try to submit the domain to the auction marketplace you'll get a notice telling to add a certain code to your domain's TXT settings (or something like that). That said, i had trouble doing so and just gave up (because i didn't want to mess around too much). I also tried removing my domain privacy and that didn't work either. Much easier for domains already with GoDaddy.

Note, too, that any domain classified as an 'Afternic Premium Listing' will automatically have generate a GoDaddy Auction listing.

I've never directly added a domain to GoDaddy Auctions, though many, if not all of my domains are there.

.ca included.

Damn, I forgot the TBR run starts at 2PM EST this week.. not that there was anything I was bidding on, but there it is.

Between GoDaddy in AZ and the CIRA using UTC, what the hell are we all on Daylight Savings for anyway? More and more companies seem to be using standard time, and all it does is screw things up.

Sure can, they will just have you verify it and you are set to go.

Wow, MyID gets picks 1 to 7 and 10 out of the top 12 selections - that has to be some kind of a record!

I also know why the results were higher than expected, as someone used CADNS to snag 11 vibrator-related domains, including such classics as internalconcretevibrators.ca and railroadcarvibrator.ca.
