Don't you hate it when Sedo emails you with a "new" offer on a domain

Happens to me all the time. I complained to them, obviously a mistake in their system.

It's just a reminder. Nothing wrong with it but they could use a different template :)

Congratulations! There is a new offer waiting for you
on the domain name skilapland *com.

I think this is obviously worth complaining about. It clearly says there is a _new_ offer waiting for me, there was no new offer. I agree with sdsinc that they should use a different wording for this reminder e-mail:

"This is a reminder that you have an offer on suchandsuch.com....." etc

i agree, they should change the reminder email for the offer to:

"Remember the $60 offer you got 3 days ago, well your not going to believe it but they are still willing to pay you every penny of that $60"

I e-mailed SEDO and got a friendly response, they quite understood that it could be annoying and they promised to forward this suggestion to the "appropriate department".

Sometimes I wonder though, maybe "forwarding your suggestion to the appropriate department" is support-speek meaning "dragging it pleasurably to the trash can while taking a sip of my coffee"

If the offer is less than you will take why not raise your minimum to something you will accept - would save everybody some time???

I agree, the reminder email - comming as a "new" offer is quite annoying. Ive fallen victim to that several times - but now I know, Oh yah, its been about 5 days since I last heard from them. Oh well, you learn to ignore them and expect them.

The reason I dont post a price on many of my domain names, is because I dont want to limit myself in negotiations. If I start off at 5,000 but someone is willing to offer 8,000 (if I had no price point) I would be costing myself 3K - always let the buyer bring the first offer!
